With the national team on the brand throne
KING AS ALWAYS.
Since winning the World Championship title for the first time in 1938, the national team has been a force that the world must reckon with. Four times Gold Medal winners at the World Championships, four times runners up at the World Championships, winners of the Olympic handball tournament, winners of the European Championships and winners of many medals. The team of German masters outshine everyone with consistent achievements; tickets are much sought-after not only amongst their fans.
CROWNED GENERATION.
The World Championship 2007 represented the well-earned crowning of a German passion - in more ways than one: the title awarded to Heiner Brand's team was the just reward for a dedicated competitive team. Packed halls filled to capacity with exuberant fans summing up great enthusiasm; TV viewers guaranteeing TV viewing records - an incontestable testament to the justified rating. For years handball has been the most popular indoor ball game and the most successful ball game overall, ranking on the TV popularity scale right behind football, and has gained over 10 million German fans on foot of the World Championships alone.

Give your brand the edge with handball
PASSION WITH NO EGOTISM.
Top-class sport should have: team spirit, excitement and fair play right to the end. With no egotism. No dishonour. Great team spirit wins out over egotism, because the true hero is always the team. Seldom has it been so much fun to watch real team players compete and win.
REAL-LIFE STARS.
Whether we're talking about "Hexer" Thiel from times past or the more contemporary "Wand" Bitter, "Sepp" Wunderlich of old or today's "Pommes" Hens, whether it's the still more recent "Paradiesvogel" Kretzschmar or the future "Mimi" Kraus, handball will always produce heroes - real-life heroes. Handball has stars, but stars with no egotism.
The stars on the national team are managed and trained by Heiner Brand, who as a player became world champion in 1978 and who will dedicate himself fully to keeping his boys together officially up until 2013. The bearer of The Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany has been honoured as Trainer of the Year no less than seven times. As role model of the year he is way over and above the handball scene - in every year.

Achieve future targets in and with handball
THEY GO FOR GOLD TO REACH THE THRONE AGAIN.
After the World Championship victory and the good performance during EC 2008 and WC 2009, the golden boys have set themselves future goals: in the field, they want to be back on the throne for the EC 2010 in Austria and for the World Championships in Sweden in 2011. They also want to attract more and more fans, both in the halls and on the screens, and to consolidate the game's position as the most popular form of sport on TV after football, exceeding the record of more than 16 million TV viewers in 2007. Handball will continue to be well staged, will gain presence in the media and will reach the hearts of the people.
